On April 7th, 2025, a total of 31 students from Year 7 to Year 11 participated in two enriching workshops conducted by Ms. Stephanie Cheah, Regional Director of the Swiss Education Group. The sessions were held at the Charis International School science lab and offered students an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills beyond the classroom.
The first workshop, Business Strategy, was a dynamic, game-based session that encouraged students to work collaboratively in teams simulating business units. Each team was challenged to make strategic decisions, maximize limited resources, and compete for profit in a simulated marketplace. The activity was both engaging and educational, with the winning team members receiving individual prizes for their performance.
The second workshop, ScentCraft and Branding a Luxury Perfume, offered a hands-on experience in fragrance creation and brand storytelling. Students crafted their own signature scents and then worked in groups to develop brand identities and marketing narratives for their products. This creative task pushed students to think critically and present compelling brand stories to their peers. Some teams even incorporated their knowledge from Global Perspectives, using iPads to present their ideas through slides — an approach that impressed Ms. Cheah.
